London Perfume Experience
Guided by expert Nicola Pozzani, the London perfume experience two-hour sensory session (or half day for a more intensive session) will make you discover the creative language of perfume. Using an interactive approach, you will experience perfume as an art form. Focusing on synesthesia, the connection between the senses, you will discover the relationship between scents, colours and words. By learning about the ingredients used in perfumery, you will explore how they can evoke different sensations, emotions and memories, and which role they have in creating a “perfume story”. Read this article by Nicola Pozzani about looking at perfume as a creative language that can tell a story.
Nicola Pozzani is the Founder of S Sense, The Senses of Perfume, a fragrance education and consulting project born in London. He also lectures on olfactory art and design at the London College of Fashion, UAL (UK) and Bern University of the Arts (Switzerland). Nicola decided to go down a fragrance path after a life-changing encounter with Master Perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, his perfumery teacher, who initiated him into this art at the “Università dell’Immagine”, academy of the five senses in Milan, Italy.
Like all FMC events, this creative London perfume experience specially designed for us in collaboration with Nicola is fully interactive and is ideal as a bonding experience or a team building activity. Participants who are usually not very talkative really enjoyed the activity and expressed themselves during the whole session. Read our blog post here. This activity fits perfectly with the idea that we are strongly promoting i.e the participation to networking events through art and culture. Read our five networking tips here.
You can also book our “Perfume as an Art Form” series which include four sessions such as the relationship between colour and perfume, between music and perfume, the use of perfume for Story Telling and the focus of a particular smell (the smell of Law,….) linked to a particular activity, industry or environment.Contact
